MEET THE COACHES

Shelley Wong is the head teaching pro at HBPC. She began playing pickleball during Covid and hasn’t looked back. Wong began playing pro in April 2023 recently winning back-to-back PPA Gold medals in the Pro MXD Points Draw. She’s also the 2022 National Champion in 5.0 19+ Womens Doubles. Wong is an IPTPA certified coach and has been teaching pickleball since the beginning of 2023. She offers privates, semi-private and group lessons. Wong also teaches pickleball classes and clinics for all skill levels. Wong coached basketball for more than 15 years before becoming a pickleball instructor.

Louisa Pelot started playing pickleball in 2019 and absolutely fell in love with the sport.  With a background in competitive Alpine ski racing, sail boat racing and years of tennis experience, she welcomes a challenging match of pickleball.  She has also successfully participated in several local round robins.  Her favorite part of pickleball is the social aspect and has made many new friends.
